Franklin students succeed at STEM competition

Seventh and Eighth grade students in Ms. Fedynich's enrichment class at Franklin Borough School were excited to participate in the Wallkill Valley 2nd annual STEM competition for local middle schools.
The competition was held at Wallkill Valley Regional High School and headed by their engineering department and high school students.
Students were invited to create a working prototype for a mystery engineering design project. Aside from building their prototype, teams were required to complete a Science Lab, do a brief presentation, and more.
Franklin School’s seventh grade students came in 3rd place and the eighth grade students came in 1st place.
