Joseph M. Noll, age 95, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Bristol Glen in Newton. Born in Newark to the late Louis and Catherine Noll, Mr. Noll lived in Whippany before moving to Sussex County in 1992. He served in the United States Army during World War II, 175th Infantry of the 29th Division. Mr. Noll had been employed as a Material Control Manager for Western Electric in New York City. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Hamburg.
He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine; his brothers, Louis, George, Robert, and Henny; and his sisters, Anne Hemmer, Beatrice Miceli, and Mildred Crapser. Mr. Noll is survived by his daughters, Catherine Haddock and her husband Paul of Leesburg, Virginia and Maureen Sheridan of Sussex; his six grandchildren, Jenna, Paul Joseph, Katelyn, Matthew, Christopher, and Kristyn; and his two great grandchildren, Caleb and Giovanni.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Joseph Noll’s memory to St. Jude The Apostle Church, Building Fund, 4 Beaver Run Road, Hamburg, NJ 07419.
