    Nov. 28Matthew Heyman, 27, of North Yonkers, N.Y., pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide, a second-degree crime, driving while intoxicated, a motor vehichle violation.
    Sentencing is scheduled for April 5, 2019.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving while intoxicated on Jan. 29, 2016, on County Route 565 (Glenwood Road) in Vernon, and to crossing the double yellow center lines and causing a head-on collision in which an individual died.
    The case was investigated by Patrolman Nicholas Palmisano and Detective Shaun Fitzgerald of the Vernon Township Police Department.
    Dec. 3Brandon russ, 34, of Nazareth, Pa., pleaded to guilty to shoplifting, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 4, 2019.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking merchandise from the Hampton Walmart on June 30, 2018, without paying.
    The case was investigated by Dsg. K. Breiten and Tpr. J. Gorter of the New Jersey State Police.
