    Oct. 29David R. Haberthur of Franklin was chaarged with credit card theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of over $4,800 after a victim on Oct. 23 reported that an unknown individual had taken custody and control of a credit card without her knowledge and used it, charging merchandise over $4,819.08.
    Detectives discovered the male using the credit card at various locations throughout Franklin Borough and Sussex County.
    On Monday, Oct. 29, detectives made contact with Haberthur on Skyview Drive in Franklin. He was placed under arrest and transported back to Franklin Borough Police Headquarters for processing.
    Following his arrest, Haberthur was released in accordance with the guidelines on New Jersey's bail system.     Nov. 7Maria L. Grasso Pantalone, 53, of Newton was charged with one count of theft by deception, specifically for ientifiying hereself as the owner of a business that never existed and taking investments only to use investments for personal reasons after a couple came to police headquarters to file a report on Oct. 23.
    The couple reported that sometime last year Pantalone offered an opportunity to invest in a cigar lounge that was supposed to be opening in the Old Lafayette Village complex in Lafayette.
    The couple reported that they met with Pantalone on two separate occasions in Franklin and invested $8,200.00. The couple received receipts which indicated, Pantalone was the president and CEO of a company named Caribbean Imports Group, LLC. In Franklin. It was later determined that no such company exists and never existed.
    Pantalone provided a copy of an intent to lease property for this business venture to the victims. The intent to lease property document was addressed to the new owners of the Shops at Lafayette Village in Lafayette. It was determined that the owners of the Shops at Lafayette Village had never conducted a business transaction with Pantalone and never had an intention to lease property to her.
    Pantalone was arrested in Hamburg near 90 RT-23
    Following her arrest, Pantalone was released in accordance with the guidelines on New Jersey's bail system.
