Daniel William Abbott

Daniel William Abbott, 58 years old, died after a short illness at Newton medical Center on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018. Born to William and Lillian Abbott in Denville, NJ, he had been a lifelong resident of Franklin.
Daniel joined the United States Army and then served with the National Guard during Desert Storm. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Braen Industries in Franklin, NJ for 8 years. Daniel was a former member of the Hamburg and Franklin Fire departments and a member of the Sgt. Francis M. Glynn American Legion Post # 132 in Franklin, NJ. Daniel enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid history buff.
Daniel is predeceased by his father, William Abbott(2008) and is the beloved husband of Elta A. Abbott(nee Titsworth) of Franklin, NJ. Devoted father of Jennifer Van Houten of Wantage Twp., NJ, Sarah Kieran and her husband, John of New York and Missy Koepplinger and her husband, Paul Coscia of Hamburg, NJ. Loving grandfather of Kane, Kieran, Angelina, Lucy and Luciano. Dear son of Lillian Abbott of Franklin, NJ.
Celebration of life will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the Franklin American Legion, 57 Mitchell Avenue, Franklin, NJ. Private cremation services by F.
