Hardyston — The final 2018 9 & Dine Tournament at the Crystal Springs Golf Resort was played on Thursday, Sept. 27, was played on New Jersey’s #1 Public Golf Course, Ballyowen Golf Club.
Six teams competed for prizes following a four golfer scramble format for prizes followed by a buffet dinner at Owen’s Pub and the awarding of prizes.
At the conclusion of play the golf scorecards of the participating teams were compared and the team of Bill Pekera, Brian Pekera, Steve Carpanini and John Ejulia’s score of 6 under par 30 out played the second place team of Kevin Reed, Kevin Orabone, Craig Corczca and Scott Curcio by 3 strokes.
The winners of the longest drive and closest to the pin competitions included Carolyn Russo the best performer of the women golfers, Scott Curcio the men’s long drive winner and Cathy Brennan who hit a tee shot on hole #4 that came to rest 12’ 2 ½” from the pin to capture the prize for closest to the pin.
