Stanhope House's jam series returns to blues roots

The Stanhope House's weekly jam is getting back to the blues.
The Tuesday night jam series, which had focused on the blues previously, returns to that format starting on Oct. 16 - with a twist or two.
Local blues singer Carol Fredericks will host the new format, which will include a celebrity guest performer each week. New York City blues hall of famer Dave Fields will be the first celebrity performer on Oct. 16
"Our jam series is getting back to its original blues roots," said Ren Giliberti, General Manager at the club. "With Carol Fredericks and the new format it'll be a fresh start for the series. Carol brings an incredible energy to the stage. And with guest celebrities each week there will be something new every week. It's going to be a lot of fun."
There is a nominal door charge of $5. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments. But it is not just for performers. The public is invited to attend as well!
The Stanhope House is located at 45 Main Street. It has been an iconic music club since the 1970s, presenting some of the greatest names in the blues over the years.
