    Sept. 25Edward Lindhorn, II., 31, of Mt. Sinai, of N.Y., pleaded guilty to two counts of resisting arrest and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, all crimes of the third degree.
    Sentencing is presently scheduled for Nov. 1, 2018.
    The defendant admitted he resisted arrest when he was caught by Hamburg Police at the 7-11 Convenience Store in Hamburg while attempting to shoplift. He also admitted to being in possession of heroin at that time.
    Sept. 26Thomas Rae, 52, of Newton pleaded guilgty to criminal trespass, a fourth-degree crime, and a violation of probation.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 16.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to entering a Newton home in June without permission.
    The case was investigated by Detective Sergeant Steven VanNieuwland of the Newton Police Department.
