Church to hold animal blessing

HARDYSTON — St. Jude the Apostle Church will hold a "Blessing of Animals" on Sunday, September 30 at 1 p.m. in the church's lower parking lot at 4 Beaver Run Road in Hardyston. Local residents are invited to bring their house pets and other animals, on leashes or in carriers, to be blessed by Rev. Michael Rodak, pastor of St. Jude.
Free pet portraits will be taken after the ceremony.
The "Blessing of Animals" is an annual event around the world when millions of animals are blessed by priests in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.
