Children invited to bowl with the Jefferson Rec

SPARTA — The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is partnering with Sparta Lanes to provide another seasonal bowling program for Jefferson Township students in Kindergarten (5 year olds) through 12th graders.
Join the team at Sparta Lanes at 83 Woodport Road in Sparta every Thursday beginning on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 4:30 p.m. for this fun-filled 8-week program that runs through Nov. 15.
Note, there will be bowling on Thursday, Nov. 8, when schools are closed for the NJEA Teachers’ Convention.
Each week, bowlers will play two games, staff will be available for questions, the Pro Shop will be open for any participant needing assistance with equipment, and each bowler will also be given a Jefferson bowling team t-shirt to wear each week.
The cost per bowler is $56 for the 8-week program (without meals); but there is an option to have a meal included at Sparta Lanes for an additional $24 or $3 per week for a total of $80. The meal will include a small drink with a hot dog or chicken nuggets each Thursday during each of the 8 weeks of the program.
Students can chose if they want to use the bowling bumpers, and everyone can choose two people who they would like to bowl with each week. Bowling partners must each file their own registration and all must agree on using bumpers or not.
Registration for this activity is online so please log on to the website https://register.communitypass.net/reg/index.cfm and if you already have an existing account, sign in or follow the prompts to set up your own personal account through the Jefferson Township community. In either case, chose the “Summer-Fall 2018” season to register for this activity — choose either “Bowling at Sparta Lanes –No Food Option” OR “Bowling with Meals at Sparta Lanes”.
As with any online shopping site, everything in your cart is payable immediately. Full payment of all items in your shopping cart can be made online at checkout with a MC, VISA, or Discover credit card subject to a 2.65 percent bank convenience fee. However, you can choose to “Send Payment” at checkout and then drop off a check, cash, or money order to the Jefferson Township Recreation Dept. office at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849 within 3 business days. Or you can mail a check to the office postmarked the day of your registration or the next business day so payment is received within 3 business days of registration — do not mail cash. If full payment is not received in the office within 3 business days of registration, your registration can be canceled.
