Police: Man stole $6K from Taco Bell

    A New York man faces charges after police allege he stole deposit bags containing over $6,000 from the roof of a Taco Bell employee's car.
    Glenn F. Arndt, 58, of Unionville, N.Y., was chargd on Sept. 12 with theft.
    Police said a Taco Bell employe left to take the daily deposits to SB One Bank in Franklin and the employee accidentally left the packages of money on the roof of their car and proceeded to the bank as he left Taco Bell. As he turned onto Route 23, the bags fell off the roof of the car and onto the roadway. Before the employee could turn around and pick them up, police allege Ardnt exited his car and picked up the money.
    At the time of Arndt's arrest, police found $6,249.46, the full amount of money initially stolen from Taco Bell.
    Following his arrest, Arndt was released in accordance with the guidelines on New Jersey's bail system.
