Ogdensburg to host candidates night

    The Ogdensburg Historical Society will host its annual “Candidates’ Night” on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Ogdensburg Firehouse at 1 Firehouse Lane.
    All members of the public are welcome to attend and meet the candidates running for office. Candidates Mikie Sherrill (D), Jay Weber (R), and Ryan Martinez (L) are campaigning for the one seat, two-year term in the 11th Congressional District. Gary Chiusano (R) and William Hart (D) are seeking the one seat, five-year term for Sussex County Surrogate. Candidates Dawn Fantasia (R), Joshua Hertzberg (R), Patrick Curreri (D), and Howard Zatkowsky (D) are campaigning for the two, three-year Sussex County Freeholder seats. Uncontested Mayoral candidate for Ogdensburg George Hutnick will be in attendance.
    Ogdensburg council candidates Dave Astor (R), Rachel Slater(R), and Peter Huhn (D) are vying to fill the two Council seats, three-year terms. Uncontested candidates Brendan Donegan and Sue Dolan are running for the two seats on the Ogdensburg Board of Education. The program will include a Q&A session.
