Center plans pharmacist workshop

    NEWTON — A free workshop for pharmacists will be hosted by the Coalition for Healthy and Safe Communities, a program of Center for Prevention on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with registration starting at 5:30 p.m. Since January of this year alone, there have been 23 suspected overdose deaths and 71 naloxone administrations in Sussex County.
    This workshop will provide Pharmacists with an understanding of addiction and the role medication plays in treatment for substance use disorders and the prevention of future suspected overdoses. Join other pharmacists and medical professionals to learn about the options available for Medication Assisted Treatment, recovery services, and other available resources. Two and a half (2.5) Pharmacy C.E. Credits will be provided to attendees at no cost (Credits are pending approval by NJ Board of Pharmacy).
