Praise for a local journalist

I wanted to highlight something you probably already are aware of, but is most definitely worth noting. Writer Laurie Gordon writes such heartfelt and yet informative pieces for the Township Journal. I cannot tell you how many times people have asked me if I know of anyone at the Township Journal that may want to write an article for an upcoming event and I always point them in Laurie's direction. Whether the story behind the article is about local loss from inclement weather, about local fundraisers and events, or about local businesses and their owners, Laurie keeps it local and passionate in each and every article in which she writes.
This past week, I was elated to see my daughter highlighted in a picture for D'Marge Dance studio from a few years ago. It not only brought back fond memories of a more innocent time when we were able to fit dance lessons in every week and all of the preparation for recitals, but it gave a wonderful nod to D'Marge Dance Studio and the fantastic job owner Lori DeVries did in helping bring my daughter out of her shell and giving her the confidence to stand center stage in front of many families and friends. It is positive articles such as this that bring our community together and make picking the Township Journal out of the mailbox each Thursday something to look forward to. Thank you for your time and thank you for employing talented writers such as Laurie Gordon.
