AUGUSTA — The Sussex County Miners will host a pair of promotion events that will enable everybody to celebrate the end of summer with a bang.
On Aug. 25, it's all about the ladies as the Miners host Ladies Night and Miss New Jersey USA 2018 Alexa Noone who will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Plus the Miners will pay tribute to Miner Country on Sept. 1 by holding Fan Appreciation Day, which will feature a jam-packed slate of activities including a can't miss Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival.
From 4-6 p.m, Skylands Stadium will be a women's wonderland. A professional DJ will spin loads of tunes while you can kick back and take advantage of our tasty lineup of drink specials. Looking to do a little shopping? Bargain hunters can cool off in the Event Center that will be transformed into a robust shopping village full of home, apparel, cosmetic and food vendors.
How would you like to get a pre-game cosmetic makeover and the chance to stand next to a Miner on the field for the national anthem? All you have to do is enter the Ladies Night Contest. As long as you're 18 or over, all you have to do is follow the Miners on Instagram (@sussexcountyminers), Facebook (@sussexcountyminers) or Twitter (@scminers) and post a photo of yourself showing your Miners pride with the hashtag #SCMinersPride. Six lucky winners will receive the following:
Two free tickets to the Ladies Night game
    A pink Miners T-shirt
A complimentary Mary Kay makeup session prior to the game
    A goodie bag
The opportunity to stand next to a Miners player during the national anthem
The Miners plan to pay tribute to the best fans in the Can-Am League with a slew of cool activities. Everybody gets to double their pleasure by taking advantage of Miners' single-admission tickets to the day's doubleheader against the Trois-Riveres Aigles. The first 500 fans will receive a team picture. Plus all fans in attendance can visit the Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival free of charge. A gastronomical exhibition for everyone, this festival will feature a delicious assortment of foods — including seafood, Greek, empanadas, BBQ, American (e.g. hot dogs, burgers, cheese steaks) and desserts (e.g. funnel cake, Oreos and cannolis) — along with dozens of thirst-quenching craft beers.
On both nights fans will be treated to the biggest fireworks show in Sussex County, courtesy of Garden State Fireworks. For more information, go to www.scminers.com or call 973.383.7644.
