Kerwien played 23 games for Meriscordia

Billy Kerwien (High Point High School) was a sophomore infielder for the Misericordia (Dallas, Pa.) baseball team this spring. Kerwien played in 23 games and started in five of them for Misericorida.
He had two hits, 3 RBIs and scored two runs.
The Cougars had an overall record of 37-15 with a mark of 10-4 at home. In the Metro Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Division they went 17-4. They won the MAC Freedom Championships with triumphs over Wilkes University, King’s College and DeSales University (twice). The MAC Freedom Championships were held in West Lawn, Pa.
From there, Misericordia advanced to the NCAA Division III Championships. They defeated Virginia Wesleyan (twice), Rowan University and Babson College (twice) to advance to the NCAA Division III World Series, which was contested in Appleton, Wisconsin. The Cougars went on to have a 1-2 record at the NCAA Division III World Series with a victory over Randolph-Macon College and losses to the University of Texas at Tyler and Randolph-Macon College.
Ally Latham, a graduate of Vernon High School was on the roster as a freshman outfielder for the Marywood University (Scranton, Pa.) softball team this past season. Latham, listed as an Architecture major competed in 23 games and started in one of them for Marywood. She had a hit, an RBI and scored eight runs.
The Pacers tallied an overall record of 2017, including a mark of 10-4 on their home field. In the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) they posted a mark of 15-7. Marywood advanced to the CSAC Playoffs where they were defeated in the opening round by Neumann University in a game played in Aston, Pa.
Mike Armstrong (Wallkill Valley High School) was a junior pitcher and infielder for the King’s College (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) baseball team this year. Armstrong, listed as an Athletic Training major had a .333 batting average with three hits, including a home run. He also had three RBIs and scored four runs.
The Monarchs posted an overall record of 21-16 with a mark of 11-5 on their home field. In the Metro Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Division they went 12-9. King’s competed in the MAC Freedom Championships held in West Lawn, Pa. where they finished 1-2 with a win over Wilkes University and losses to Desales University and Misericordia University.
