    June 25Jason Kiss, 47, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a weapon, a fourth-degree crime.
    Kiss admitted to possessing a weapon with the purpose to use it unlawfully against the person or property of another.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for August 10, 2018.
    July 27Sean Elkowich, 52, of Sussex, was sentenced to three years of probation. He was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work, submit a DNA sample, make restitution of $1,077.35 and pay fines and fees totaling $185.
    He pleaded guilty on June 11, 2018, to shoplifting and conspiracy, both third-degree crimes.
    The defendant conspired with another to take merchandise from the Hampton Walmart on Jan. 27, 2018, without paying.
    Robert C. Pauli, 32, of Sparta, was sentenced to 364 days in Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility with 180 days parole ineligibility. He received credit for 160 days already served.
    The defendant was also sentenced to an additional Probation term of three years, a 10-year loss of his driver’s license, and ignition interlock program for three years. He must also complete IDCR, undergo a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, submit a DNA sample, attend AA/NA seven (7) times per week and pay $1,906 in court fines and fees. He pleaded guilty on April 16, to driving While Suspended for a Second or Subsequent DWI, a crime of the fourth degree and motor vehicle violation driving while intoxicated.
    The defendant was intoxicated when he was pulled over by Sparta Police for motor vehicle violations.
