The Jefferson Township Museum, also known as the George Chamberlain House, will have an open house on Sunday, Aug. 5, from 1-4 p.m.. Admission is free.
Costumed docents will be available to talk about this Victorian home. Featured this month will be a display of antique and vintage dolls, games, and toys on loan from a private collection. Learn how children played and learned through these items.
This display is in every room of this Victorian home. The Museum, located at 315 Dover-Milton Road, was entered into the National and State Registers of Historic Places in 2010. Be sure to visit Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe located in the original kitchen of the Museum. The Shoppe is packed with new and vintage items for sale. Even if you’ve been in Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe recently, a return visit may add something special to your home.
