    Daniel J. Pinkham, 31, of Branchville was sentenced to five years of probation.
    He also must have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family, no unsupervised contact with minors under the age of 18, undergo a psychosexual evaluation and follow all recommendations, and pay standard fines and fees.
    He pleaded guilty on Jan. 8, 2018, to cruelty and neglect of a child (a fourth-degree crime). On that date, he admitted that while being employed as a teacher, he had inappropriate sexual communications with a student over social media.
    July 5
    Christopher Faulkner, 28, of Budd Lake was sentenced to two years of probation.
    He must also pay $3,667.14 restitution and $480 in court fines and fees.
    He pleaded guilty on May 21, 2018, to five (5) counts of third degree Burglary and one count of third degree Theft.
    The defendant broke in to several motor vehicles in Hopatcong taking cash, tools, cell phone charges and other various items in 2016.
    July 6
    Raul Cinto-Tibercio, 33, of Newton, was sentenced to 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility, a two-year suspension of his driver’s license and one year with an Interlock device. He must also complete 48 hours of IDRC, complete 30 days of community service, submit a DNA sample and pay $1,169.00 in court fines and fees.
    He pled guilty on April 16, 2018, to a fourth degree offense of resisting arrest and driving while intoxicated.
    The defendant has fallen asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at a Newton traffic light, was intoxicated at the time and tried to run away from police officers.
    July 9
    Edward Kurtyka, 38, of Newark, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and shoplifting, third-degree crimes.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for August 24, 2018.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted conspiring with another to take and actually stealing merchandise from the Hampton Walmart on Dec. 27, 2016. The defendant further admitted returning to the store the next day and stealing additional merchandise.
    The case was investigated by Trooper J. Smith of the New Jersey State Police.
    Alexander Wehmeyer, 27 of Paterson, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and shoplifting, third-degree crimes.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for Aug. 24.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted complicity in taking merchandise from the Hampton Walmart on Dec. 27, 2016, without paying.
    Matthew T. Collins, 25, of Newton pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for July 20.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of cocaine and heroin on June 6, 2018, in Newton.
    July 12
    Joseph Lobue, age 26, was charged with one count of third-degree burglary; one count of third-degree terroristic threats; one count of third-degree criminal restraint; one count of fourth-degree stalking and related disorderly person and petty disorderly person offenses.
    The charges resulted from a joint investigation involving the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are possible.
    A court date has been set for July 25, in the Sussex County Superior Court for a first appearance. The charges against Mr. Lobue are mere allegations and he is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
