Calvin D. Dolsay, age 27, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at his residence in Hardyston that he shared with his best friend, Jason Chache. Born in Newton, Calvin grew up in Sussex County all of his life. He graduated from Sussex County Vocational School in 2009, where he studied computer technology. His Nana, Rhonda Dolsay helped raise him and he loved his trips with her; which included going to Land of Make Believe, the Jersey Shore, Virginia Beach, and Walt Disney World. He enjoyed being with his friends, playing video games, and running pathfinder and shadow soul campaign. Calvin also enjoyed listening to the band, Imagine Dragons and walking his dog, Lennon. He is going to be missed tremendously.
Calvin was predeceased by his grandfather, Duane T. Dolsay in 2010. He is survived by his mother, Deanna Dolsay and her common law husband Calvin Ford of Houston, Texas; his grandmother, Rhonda Dolsay of Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; his Aunt Rachel and Uncle Guy Straway of Dingmans Ferry, PA, his Aunt Miranda and Uncle Andre Kedrowitsch of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and his Aunt Kyla and Uncle Brian Gardner of Netcong; his cousins, Jaci, Raymond, "Lil" Guy Straway and Evie Kedrowitsch; and his father, Leonard Dowell.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the American Legion :Post 213, 915 Route 23, Sussex, NJ 07461. Private cremation services were entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Calvin's memory to the family to help defray the funeral costs.
