A Franklin man faces child cruelty charges after Franklin police investigated a trespassing complaint in late March.
Jayson Martinez was charged on Wednesday, June 13, with cruelty and neglect of a child after turning himself into borough police at 7:15 a.m.
Police said they received a complaint of a male trespassing at a residence in Franklin at about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30 and the responding officer said the resident told her she found a male in the residence alone with her 14-year-old daughter.
Police said they determined the male performed an indecent, immoral or unlawful act which debauched, endangered or degraded her morals.
Martinez was released released and will appear before Central Judicial Processing (CJP) for his first appearance on July 11, at 9:30 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing and additional complaints may follow.
