Legion Road has officially been renamed to Sgt. Francis M. Glynn Rd.
David Miller, commander of the Sgt. Francis M Glynn American Legion Post 132, revealed the new street sign on Flag Day — June 14, 2018.
Sgt. Francis M. Glynn was a Franklin borough resident and died in France during World War I. He is buried at St Thomas of Aquin cemetery in Ogdensburg.
Mayor Nick Giordano pleasantly surprised Miller when he presented to him a replica street sign to physically hang inside the Legion Hall.
