Ronald L. Longstreet, age 76, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Newton Medical Center. Born on September 24, 1941 in Neptune to the late Louis and Sarah (Corwin) Longstreet, Ronald lived in Sussex County for most of his life. He was the Manager of McDonald's in Newton for many years.

He was predeceased by his sister, Diane Guest. Ronald is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eleanor "Karin" (Ballard); two sons, Ronald W. Longstreet of Franklin and John Longstreet of Montague; his daughter, Barbara Longstreet of Branchville; his brother, Tommy Longstreet of Budd Lake; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Ronald loved his family, the outdoors, and his dog, Kayla.

Graveside funeral services will held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Beemerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the family to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses. Funeral services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Online condolences may be offered to the family at
