    May 18Brian Franklin, 21, of Flanders was sentenced to three years of probation and 21 days in jail with credit for 21 days served. He was ordered to submit to TASC and mental health evaluations and follow any and all recommendations made, attend four NA/AA meetings per week, provide a DNA sample, complete his community service work and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00.
    He pleaded guilty on March 12, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.
    The defendant was in possession of heroin on Oct. 7, 2017, in Hopatcong.
    May 21Raul Cinto-Tiburcio, 33, of Newton pleaded guilty to fourth-degree resisting arrest and driving while intoxicated.
    Sentencing is scheduled for July 6.
    The defendant admitted he had fallen asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at a Newton traffic light, was intoxicated at the time and tried to get away from police officers.
    Christopher Faulkner, age 28, of Budd Lake, plead guilty to five counts of third-degree burglary and one count of third-degree theft.
    Sentencing is presently scheduled for July 6.
    The defendant admitted to breaking in to several motor vehicles in Hopatcong taking cash, tools, cell phone chargers and other various items in 2016.
    May 23Karen Lopez, 28, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for July 13, 2018.
    On Feb. 24, Lopez was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a motor vehicle violation. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to having heroin, MDMA/Ecstasy, and Oxycodone. The case was investigated by Patrolman Daniel Kern of the Hopatcong Police Department.
    Johshawnt King. 31, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to hindering apprehention, a fourth-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for July 13.
    On Feb. 24, 2018, King was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a motor vehicle violation. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to providing a false name and date of birth to officers.
