Franklin students hold solar cook-off

FRANKLIN — Third-grade students in Ms. Fedynich’s Enrichment class at Franklin Borough School held a Solar Cook-off to celebrate Earth Day. Inspired by the school’s solar panels, students were curious about the different ways we can utilize the sun. Using recycled materials and the design process, students constructed solar ovens which harnessed the sun’s energy.
Once construction was complete, students enjoyed a delicious treat cooked in their very own oven.
