Franklin police seeking bank suspect

The Franklin Police is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male that allegedly attempted to gain access to a customer's safety deposit box at the Sussex Bank in Franklin Borough.
Police said the male identified himself as the owner of the safety deposit box and signed the Bank’s log book indicating the same. The unidentified male’s key for the safety deposit box did not work. According to bank employee’s the male had a safety deposit key envelope from Sussex Bank and had the box number of 153 written on it consistent with the customer’s safety deposit box number.
After sometime and after he was unable to gain access to the safety deposit box, police said the unknown male took the key back and left the bank. He allegedly left in a red pickup truck. Police said pickup truck had what appeared to be a silver tool chest in the bed of the truck and an unknown logo on the rear window.
