FabForward — The SOLO Hits of John, Paul, George, & Ringo will return to the Cornerstone Playhouse in Sussex on Friday April 27 at 8 pm and during this performance FabForward will not only perform the top solo hits of the Beatles after their breakup in 1970, but will also perform several choice cuts from The Beatles 1968 The White Album. Many music historians consider The White Album to be the first evidence of solo Beatles material since all four Beatles did not even play on each track, and each member considered their band mates to be a back-up band.
According to Kerri Freda, Sussex County resident and bassist for FabForward, by performing some cuts from The White Album it chronicles how the band was already beginning to show signs of splitting and breaking apart as early as 1968.
“Beatles lead guitarist George Harrison turned to his friend and fellow guitarist Eric Clapton to perform on the master piece While My Guitar Gently Weeps, “said Freda. “I feel it was a support for George because he was in the shadow of Lennon and McCartney and was beginning to establish him as a formidable song writer is his own right,” said Freda. By performing some choice Beatles cuts, it allows fans to hear Beatles songs and put them into prospective with the solo hits. The White Album is considered to be a masterpiece but you can feel the somber mood across the album, Freda feels. “I feel said when I listen to it and you certainly can hear how their songwriting styles were so different and varied. Each track almost sounds like a different band."
Former Beatle Paul McCartney is still a major concert draw and a prominent and relevant act in 2017 and was the #1 artist of the 1970s. As solo artists, McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr Beatles racked up more than 15 number ones and many more top-40 hits including Band on the Run, Jet, Live and Let Die, Silly Love Songs, Imagine, Just Like Starting Over, Instant Karma, Woman, Watching the Wheels, My Sweet Lord, Give Me Love, Got My Mind Set on You, It Don’t Come Easy, Photograph, You’re 16 and many more.
FabForward is providing entertainment at various concert series throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Delaware this summer. Last summer, FabForward performed at the Concert on the Green Series at Sussex County Community College.
