Sierra Club to welcome guest speaker

    The Skylands Sierra Club Group will welcome guest speaker Jerome Wagner on Tuesday, April 10, to discuss “Divestment from Fossil Fuel Holdings” from 7-9 p.m.
    Wagner is the president of 350NJ-Rockland, a climate-focused advocacy group. One of 350NJ-Rockland’s focus areas for 2018 is divestment of the New Jersey pension fund from fossil fuel holdings.
    Jerome Wagner worked as an environmental engineer for several decades. He has been a climate activist for almost a decade. He has experience on a personal level with moving his IRA holdings in an “ESG” (Environmental/Social/Governance) and fossil-free direction.
    The meeting will be held at the Unitarian Fellowship, 1 West Nelson St., Newton. The public is welcome to attend free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
