Bridget M. Shauger

Bridget M. Shauger, 91, passed away on March 27, 2018. Bridget was born in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States as a very young girl in 1930 to Franklin, N.J. She was born on April 25, 1926, to the late Joseph and Karolina (nee Pevala) Nemshak.
Mom was a catechism teacher for years at Immaculate Conception church, she was a member of their Rosary Society and did a lot for the church. Also cleaning and such, and gave to all the Bake sales and worked for the head start program in Franklin. She was a housewife, raised four children and five grandsons. She helped neighbors when someone needed help or as a baby sitter. She took care of her mother for several years. She was a strong woman and she loved going places and doing things. She was always there for her family. “Rest in Peace, Mom”
Bridget was predeceased by her husband, Donald John Shauger, and her son, Robert T. Shauger, and a brother, Joseph Nemshak.
Bridget is survived by her children, Paul A. Shauger Sr. and his wife, Von, of Florida, Joan A. Shauger of Franklin, and Michael S. Shauger and his wife, Gloria, of Franklin, and her beloved five grandsons, Michael Jr. and his wife, Mollie, Paul Jr., Donald J. and his wife, Milka, Steven and Kevin, and her three cherished great grandchildren, Caroline, Perry and Connor, and her sister, Maria Nemshak of Franklin.
Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the F. John Ramsey Funeral, Home One Main Street, Franklin, NJ. The family will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 4, at 9 a.m. for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial service at the Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, committal and interment to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
