Robert Hall Sutton

Robert Hall Sutton, 88 years old, died surrounded by his family after a short illness at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, Fredon Twp., NJ on Friday, March 16, 2018. Born to Robert A. and Elizabeth Sutton in Philadelphia, Pa., he had lived in Wayne, N.J., for many years before moving to East Stroudsburg, Pa., 25 years ago.
Robert served with the United States Marine Corps during WWII and then the United States Army and then worked as a technician for New Jersey Bell in Paterson, N.J., for 39 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wayne and the Wayne First Aid Squad, serving for 15 years. He took great joy in refinishing furniture, traveling in his RV, especially to Myrtle Beach, tinkering and building and collecting antiques. Robert also fondly remembered his 2 motorcycle trips with his wife across the United States.
Robert is predeceased by his wife, Janet L. Sutton(2006), a grandson, Robert Zimmerer(2015) and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Veneman and Lorean Bremald and is the devoted father of Mary E. Sadosky and her husband, Gary of West Milford, N.J, Shirlee Zimmerer and her significant other, David Molenaar of Franklin, N.J., Lori Zwerver and her husband, Thomas of Franklin, N.J., and Gail Papadopulos and her husband, Paul, of Riverdale, N.J. Loving grandfather of Eric, Richard, Jennifer, Matthew, Erica, James, Nicole and Steven. Cherished great grandfather of Alexander, Lucas and Mason. Dear brother of John Sutton of BC, Canada. Also survived by his cat, “Pussycat” and several nieces and nephews.
Private cremation services by F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, N.J. Memorial service will be Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in Wayne, 99 Parish Drive, Wayne, NJ at 3 p.m. Inurnment to follow in the Grieves Memorial Garden at the church.
