Employers wanted for tristate job fair coming in April

, Pa. — An unusual alliance of organizations has partnered once again to host the third annual Working Pike Job Fair set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at the Best Western Inn at Hunts Landing in Matamoras.
The organization known as Working Pike is a collaboration of Pike County government, Pike County Commissioners, and faith-based assemblies and organizations. Its mission is to build a stronger community through this partnership. Working Pike will bring individuals who are unemployed and underemployed together with major employers form the tristate area. Job seekers will be recruited from Pike, Monroe, Wayne, Lackawanna, Sullivan, Orange, and Sussex counties, and all will receive an employer directory that highlights each company and its employment opportunities. Previous events brought in 300 to 600 jobseekers in just a few hours.
