OGDENSBURG — The Ogdensburg Council unanimously approved on Jan. 22, $10,000 per year for Municipal Court Judge Glenn Gavan's salary and Brian Aloisi as the new hearing officer.
Mayor Rachel Slater said JCP&L attempted to fix the light on Passaic and Main St., by moving the head lamp to point toward the road's middle and resolved a light issue at the Manor. Slater added, JCP&L will order lights on Passaic, and then completion dates will be scheduled.
Councilman David Astor said the Department of Public Works cleared obstructions from the tunnel through which water travels on Predmore Road. After the weather gets better, he continued, the DPW will complete other work to eliminate flooding on the road.
Slater met with Elizabethtown Gas, who said they will meet with the engineer regarding permits, cost efficiency, and try to get approval for the work to be completed. Three Ogdensburg developments, Slater said, were close to the required 65 percent goal, which might require extra fees.
The DPW, Chief of Police, and Town Engineer, Slater said, met and determined Center Street should not be used as a road, because it is too narrow. Therefore, she continued, they will block the street off, and it will no longer be used as an actual street.
Slater said the finalized Budget Workshop dates will be Feb 5th and Feb. 13th.
Finally, Slater said, the Housing Rehabilitation Fee will be put on hold until the next meeting, when the housing coordinator will discuss details.
