Geraldine G. DeMario

Geraldine G. DeMario, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Saint Clare's Hospital in Dover. Born in Allentown, Penn., to the late Harold and Grace (Helfrich) Brey, Mrs. DeMario graduated from Bergenfield High School and then attended the Katharine Gibbs School. She lived in Bergenfield before moving to the Milton section of Jefferson Township in 1963. Mrs. DeMario was the owner and operator of Berkshire Valley Cleaners in Milton along with her husband, Eugene. She enjoyed playing cards and Mah Jongg with her family and friends. Mrs. DeMario also shared the love of history with her husband and they enjoyed traveling to different historical sites together. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Eugene; her three sons, Kenneth DeMario and his wife Ginny of Hopatcong, Leonard DeMario and his wife Chrissie of Milton, and Dennis DeMario and his wife Jeanne Crowe of Stockholm; her daughter, Nancy Richeda and her husband John of Wantage; her brother, Daniel Brey and his wife Eileen of Port Crane, New York; and her three sisters, Daisy Jaeger of Hillsdale, Bobbie Hernandez of Vienna, Virginia, and Ruth Stine and her husband Mike of Honesdale, Pennsylvania; and her six grandchildren, Melanie Lemme and her husband Bryan, Heather Ruffino and her husband Christopher, Daniel DeMario, Victoria DeMario, Courtney DeMario, and Noah DeMario. Friends may pay their respects to the family at 11 a.m. for a memorial gathering on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at the Stockholm United Methodist Church, 27 County Road 515, Stockholm, NJ 07469. Family moments will be shared with a prayer from the Pastor and a luncheon at the church will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Milton First Aid Squad, 45 Milton Road, Milton, NJ 07438.
