The Jefferson Arts Committee has already filled a bus to see the Broadway show Anastasia on May 2; and due to the high interest, is planning a second trip on Wednesday, Oct. 17 for the Wednesday 2 p.m. matinee.
Travel in comfort on a motor coach bus boarding in the parking lot of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Milton/Oak Ridge at 10 a.m. on Oct. 17 and departing promptly at 10:15 a.m. sharp to arrive around 11:30 a.m. in New York City. Lunch will be on your own and you’ll then meet the group at the Broadhurst Theater, 235 West 44th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues before the 2 p.m. curtain. Immediately following the show, the bus will depart for the return trip back to Jefferson.
Anastasia transports the audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920’s as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anastasia enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family. With its opulent settings, dazzling costumes, and a soaring score including the song favorites from the hit animated film “Journey to the Past” and “Once Upon a December”, Anastasia is the spectacular musical about discovering who you are and defining who you are meant to be.
The cost of this performance which includes orchestra seating, deluxe motor coach transportation, and driver gratuity is $120 per person. If you are interested in attending, please send your name, address, home phone number, cell phone number, email address, the number of tickets you wish to purchase along with a check for $120 per person payable to the Jefferson Arts Committee and mail it all to Jefferson Arts Committee, Anastasia, PO Box 2604, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
As there is a waiting list of people unable to make the May 2 trip, it is important that you respond as soon as possible as there are a limited number of seats still available.
