Agnes M. Chaft

Agnes M. Chaft unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, Nov. 19, at her residence. She was 87.
Born in New York City to the late Everington and Mary Elizabeth White, Mrs. Chaft had lived in the Sussex County area for many years. She had graduated from Englewood School of Nursing in 1950.
She was employed as an RN for Rosan, Nicols, and Lehrer Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates in Teaneck and thoroughly enjoyed her career as an OR Nurse at Englewood Hospital. She was a member of St. Monica R.C. Church in Sussex Borough.
She was predeceased by her husband, Marc E. Chaft in 1997 and her sister, Eva Mae Walling.
Mrs. Chaft is survived by her son, Gerald Frech and his wife Tara of Moore, SC; her two daughters, Carol Ann Schenk and her husband Bruce of West Milford and Mary Beth Galfo and her husband Gordon of Oak Ridge; her 11 grandchildren: Tim, Eric, Lisa, Ryan, Andrew, Jessica, Marisa, Meghan, Ashley, Matthew, and Michael; and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Ave., Sussex.
Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex.
