Franklin boy scouts hike Appalachian Trail

FRANKLIN — Franklin Troop 90 participated in a backpacking camping trip on the Appalachian Trail.
We began our trip in High Point State Park on Friday night and continued down to Sunrise Pond on Saturday night. The boys carried our own gear, troop gear, and food. They primarily
carried dehydrated food and we were able to catch some really good views and sites along the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge line. Overall, the boys hiked approximately 12 miles.
It was a challenging outing and required good planning and discipline along the trail.
