If you like to build, compete, learn new skills, and help others; then the Venturing Dash is an event for you.
The Venturing Dash will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 for teens in 8th–12th grade during the day off from school due to Teacher’s Convention. The event will be held at Wallkill Valley Regional High School in Hamburg. Those who attend will learn what Venturing is all about including the leadership experiences, high adventure trips, community service efforts, and more.
The daylong event will include 4 different courses throughout the day. The courses will be structured into teams of 2-5 (teens can register as an individual), so teams can compete in team building challenges, engineering and planning challenge, and a community service project. There will be prizes for the winning team as well as adult supervision provided.
Venturing Dash is limited to the first 30 participants who register. The cost is $45 per teenager and is open to any person currently in 8th-12th grade. The registration deadline is Nov. 4. To register please visit: https://scoutingevent.com/358-2018BPVD.
Venturing is a coed program for all youth ages 14-20, featuring social activities, community service, camping and outdoor activities, team building and leadership training.
