    Oct. 30Timothy Durgin, 23, of Newton pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 15.
    The defendant admitted to possessing Suboxone after Sussex County Sheriff’s Officers found the controlled dangerous substance on his person while screening the defendant for entry to the Sussex County Superior Court.
    Michael Bialick, 54, of Glenwood pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a third-degree crime, and criminal mischief, a disorderly persons offense.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 22.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to using a baseball bat to strike and break the taillight of an individual’s vehicle. 
    The case was investigated by Patrolwoman Abigail Lenz and other officers of the Vernon Township Police Department.
    Joshua Mueller, 23, of Vernon pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, third-degree offenses.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 22.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to entering multiple vehicles in the Township of Vernon and removing various items from within. 
    Jenna Runne. 29, of Lake Hopatcong, pleadd guilty to possession of a device to defraud a drug test, a crime of the fourth degree. 
    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2018.
    The defendant admitted to possessing a small bottle of urine in attempt to defraud a urinalysis test given by probation.
    Oct. 31Theodore Robbins, 30, of Milford, Pa., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree.
    Sentencing is presently scheduled for January 5, 2018.
    The defendant admitted he was in possession of Heroin while he was driving a vehicle that was pulled over by New Jersey State Police while conducting another investigation.
    Nov. 2Aimee Lowry-Crane. 40, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to misapplication of entrusted property, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 26, 2018.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that between June 30, 2014, and March 15, 2016, while serving in the fiduciary relationship as treasurer for the Hamburg Parent Teacher Association, she disposed of funds that had been entrusted to her in a manner that she knew was unlawful and involving substantial risk of loss or detriment to the PTA.
    The case was investigated by Patrolman Fred Moses of the Hamburg Police Department and Detective Dean Voris of the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
    Nov. 6Tanis Posey. 41, of Newton pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime, resisting arrest, a disorderly person offense, and driving while intoxicated (second offense), a motor vehicle violation.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2018.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of cocaine, resisting arrest by not cooperating with arresting officers and driving while intoxicated on Nov. 10, 2016. 
    The case was investigated by Ptl. Jose Morales and Ptl. Shawn Burke of the Newton Police Department. 
    Ronald Gerstmann, 59, of Sussex pleaded guilty to third-degree theft of services, two counts of fourth degree bad checks and fourth degree forgery.
    Sentencing is presently scheduled for January 2018.
    The defendant admitted in March of 2017 he wrote a check to Michael’s Jewelers in Franklin knowing the check was drawn on a closed account. He also admitted to writing a check to the Mobil Gas Station in Franklin to pay for fuel he obtained using a check from a closed account. The defendant also admitted that in May of this year he drafted a false landlord agreement that had no legal validity, which allowed people to believe they were tenants under the same access to a property located in Sussex, which he did not own or have any legal access to.
    Reginald Casterlin, 49, of Franklin, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree driving while suspended for a second or subsequent DWI and three DWI motor vehicle charges.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2018.
    The defendant admitted that in July when he was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Vernon he was driving under the influence and was also driving while his driver’s license was suspended for a second or subsequent DWI. The defendant also admitted he was driving while intoxicated on two other separate occasions in Hamburg Township and Hardyston Township.
