Wallkill Valley FBLA members attend state conference

Six members of the Wallkill Valley Regional High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the New Jersey FBLA-PBL Fall Leadership Conference at the Pines Manor in Edison on Oct. 13.
Co-Presidents Kayla Bifano and Tyler Small, Secretary Breanna Ebisch, Vice President Garett Koch, and Community Service Vice President Drew Langenfeld represented the chapter. Wallkill Valley member Anastasia Schroeder, the current FBLA State Secretary, also attended. The theme of the conference was “New Jersey FBLA-PBL…Pave Your Path.”
The officers attended various workshops that focused on developing leadership skills. These workshops included “Preparing for College,” “Leadership Skills to Take Back Home,” “Improving Your Local Chapter,” “Building Your Brand,” “High School to College,” “Junior Achievement Opportunities,” “The Presidents’ Roundtable,” and “So You Want to be an Officer.”
The keynote speaker was Kaitlyn Schoeffel, former FBLA member from Egg Harbor, who currently holds the title of Miss New Jersey. She was also second runner-up to Miss America this year. The officers had the opportunity to network with New Jersey FBLA members from various high schools.
