Laddey, Clark & Ryan joined millions of people on Oct. 7 all over the country to celebrate Lee National Denim Day. Employees wore jeans in exchange for a $5 donation to support the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer programs and services. Lee National Denim Day has become one of the largest single-day breast cancer awareness movements nationwide.
The fundraiser was created in 1966 when several Lee Jeans employees realized that each of them, in one form or another, had been touched by breast cancer. Since then, participants have raised more than $93 million for the fight against breast cancer.
The donations help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding breast cancer research, providing free information and support to those affected by breast cancer, and helping detect it when it’s most treatable.
