The Sussex Stags defeated the Bronx Colts (New York) in semipro football on Saturday, Sept. 30. The final score was 33-20. The first round of the Major League Football playoffs took place at Newton High School in Sussex County, New Jersey.

The Bronx Colts proved to be one of the few teams to be able to make the Sussex Stags break a sweat this season.

The Stags improve to a 13-1 record.
