Hackettstown defeats Wallkill Valley, 41-7

Hackettstown High School defeated Wallkill Valley Regional High School in varsity football on Saturday, Sept. 16. The final score was 41-7.
Wallkill Valley went down hard on their home field. Despite being behind 14-0 the game was still in reach by halftime. But in the second half the Wallkill Valley Rangers were only able to break into the end zone once.
The Hackettstown Tigers ran wild led by quarterback Anthony Caputo. Caputo gained 55 yards on the ground resulting in two touchdowns. And threw for 239 yards resulting in three touchdowns. Caputo had multiple targets to throw at in the form of Matt Macaulay, Christian Maciak and T.J. Sciaretta, each catching a touchdown pass.
Running back Christian Maciak also accomplished one rushing touchdown for Hackettstown.
Hackettstown improved to 2-0 and Wallkill Valley fell to 0-2.
