| 21 Sep 2017 | 03:30

The Newton Theatre is kicking-off this year’s Halloween revelry with cult classic the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a pre-movie party on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m.
Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased by visiting www.TheNewtonTheatre.com or contacting the Box Office at 973-940-NEWT.
A pre-movie party will begin at 7 p.m. with music, dancing and a costume contest. To add to the fun, professional shadow cast The Home of Happiness will perform scenes simultaneously throughout the film and will cue the audience when to use the props, which will be available for sale before the movie.
Cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the longest running theatrical in history, playing continuously in theaters since 1975. The story of Brad and Janet takes a strange twist after their car breaks down and they unwittingly become houseguests of the outlandish Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Song, dance, and pandemonium ensue with an outrageous cast of characters.
Rocky Horror has all the ingredients for a great time — a bizarre story, crazy characters and the music, jam-packed with such iconic songs like The Time Warp, Sweet Transvestite, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me and many more.
The historic Newton Theatre is located at 234 Spring Street in Newton, NJ. Additional information may be found at www.TheNewtonTheatre.com or by calling 973-940-NEWT.
