Education commissioner launches new initiative

New Jersey Department of Education Commissioner Kimberley Harrington recently visited Hamburg School to help launch a curriculum initiative for Sussex County.
The curriculum initiative meetings are an opportunity for educational leaders and stakeholders to hold table talk discussions pertaining to instruction, student learning standards, sharing of best practices and creating seamless educational transitions for students.
During the conversation, Commissioner Harrington provided details regarding some of the initiatives that are currently underway at the Department of Education and ways in which her staff in Trenton can support learning and growth for students in Sussex County and across the state.
