Sedlcok defends Marywood's goal in lacrosse

    Bobby Sedlock (Vernon High School) was a senior defender for the Marywood University men’s lacrosse team this past spring season. Sedlock is listed as a health and physical education major.
    Marywood had an overall record of 9-10 with a mark of 7-3 on its home field. In the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) they had a record of 5-2. They advanced to the CSAC Tournament where they topped Centenary (15-5, semifinal round) and lost to Cabrini College in the championship round.
    Brandon Forino (Vernon High School) was a sophomore distance runner for the Eastern University (Philadelphia, Pa.) men’s outdoor track and field team. Forino was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Winter and Spring Academic Honor Roll.
    Nicole Hopper (Wallkill Valley High School) was a freshman infielder for the King’s College (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) softball team this past season. Hopper played in five games and started in four of them for King’s. She had a hit, a run and an RBI.
    The Monarchs tallied an overall record of 19-19 with five wins at home. In the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Division they posted a mark of 8-6. King’s advanced to the MAC Freedom Tournament where they collected wins over Manhattanville College and Wilkes University. They were defeated in the MAC Freedom Tournament by Manhattanville (twice).
    Rob Sharpe (High Point High School) was a senior member of the Gettysburg College (Pa.) men’s tennis team this spring. Sharpe, listed as an organization and management major had one victory in singles competition. In doubles competition, he had a total of three victories.
    The Bullets posted an overall record of 5-10 and they had four victories on their home courts. In the Centennial Conference they had two wins.
    James Corti (Wallkill Valley High School) was a senior distance runner for the Dickinson College men’s outdoor track and field program this year. The Red Devils placed sixth in the team scoring at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
    Mike Armstrong (Wallkill Valley High School) was a sophomore pitcher or the King’s College baseball squad this year. Armstrong appeared in five games and struck out four batters for King’s.
    The Monarchs had an overall record of 20-17 and they were 9-4 on their home field. In the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Division they had a mark of 13-8. The Monarchs advanced to the MAC Freedom Tournament where they were defeated by Misericordia University in a game played in West Lawn, Pa.
