    July 28Dominick Kopec, 25, of Ridgefield was sentenced to five years of probation. Kopec also was ordered to pay mandatory fines and fees.
    Kopec pleaded guilty on Aug. 29, 2016, to one count of burglary, a third-degree offense and one count of theft, a third-degree offense. 
    On Jan. 16, 2016, Kopec was arrested for burglary and theft.   
    Kopec was represented by Corey Morano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
    July 31Roger Loder, 54, of Hewitt pleaded guilty to burglary, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 15.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to entering a Vernon Township home on Dec. 2, 2016, and taking cash from within the home.
    The case was investigated by Detective Stephen Gentle and Patrolman Adam Kraus of the Vernon Township Police Department.
    Nachelle Stewart, 51, of Newton pleaded guilty todriving while her license was suspsended a fourth-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 22.
    On May 25, 2016, Stewart was stopped by Byram Police officers for a motor vehicle violation. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving while her driver license was suspended for a third offense of driving while intoxicated. 
    The case was investigated by Patrolman Marcus Lisa and Detective Robert Tierney of the Byram Police Department.
    Aug. 1Sean Jackson, 49, of Camden was sentenced ot three years in New Jersey state prison with an 18-month period of parole ineligibility and credit for 226 days of time served. He was ordered to provide a DNA sample at his own expense and pay joint and several restitution totaling $814.10 and fines and fees totaling $965.
    He pleaded guilty on April 19, to theft, a third-degree crime, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, third-degree crimes, three counts of Burglary, third-degree crimes, and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree crime. 
    The defendant took property from an individual’s car in Newton on Nov. 11, 2016. Defendant also admitted that he and his co-defendant agreed to enter a vehicle in Andover Boro on Dec. 12, 2016, and two vehicles in Andover Township on Dec. 17 and 18, 2016, without the owners’ permission. Defendant also received property that he knew was stolen on Dec. 18, 2016, in Andover Township.
    Jakub Walclawski, 29, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to fourth-degree aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
    Sentencing is presently scheduled for Sept. 15.
    The defendant admitted he struck a Hopatcong Police officer when they responded to a 9-1-1 call at the defendant’s Hopatcong residence.
    Daniel Ziolkowski, 54, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., was sentenced to three years of probation and 210 days in jail with credit for one day time served. His driver's license was ordered suspended for three months. He was ordered to successfully complete an anger management program, submit a DNA sample at his own expense, have no contact with the victim, and pay restitution of $31.50 and fines and fees totaling $555.
    He was convicted on May 31 after a jury trial to possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a third-degree crime, unlawful possession of a weapon, a fourth-degree crime, criminal mischief, a fourth-degree crime, and two counts of harassment, a petty disorderly persons offense.
    On Dec. 24, 2014, Ziolkowski was operating his motor vehicle in a westerly direction on Layton Road (County Route 560) in Sandyston Township. On two occasions, Ziolkowski “brake-checked” the car following to his rear, coming to a complete stop in front of the following car after the second occasion. Ziolkowski then exited his vehicle and while brandishing a knife approached the following vehicle yelling and screaming at the driver.   While continuing to yell and scream at the driver, Ziolkowski caused damage to the driver’s door with his lower body and caused further damage by using the knife to stab the windshield and to slash and flatten the left front tire.  Ziolkowski then re-entered his vehicle and fled from the scene.
    Aug. 2Victoria Cramer, 28, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to third-degree theft.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 29.
    The defendant admitted taking various items, including but not limited to jewelry, a computer and cash, from her mother and step-father’s home without their consent.
