Dance Expression dancers win awards

Dance Expression Dance Arts performed for the Dancers Inc. National Dance Competition at Split Rock Resort, Lake Harmony, Pa., on July 16-21.
Saturday Night Fever was the Elite Award in the Jazz Production category and an invitation to the showcase Challenge. It also won excellence in Modern Technique, a special studio award.
The senior all-star solo elite and second overall went to "On the Town" and special Entertainment award went to Danielle Gutt, Jillian Henderson and Kristina Henderson. "Lost" won the Elite and fourth overall award. Kristen Winkler and Julia Young won the elite award and fifth overall and special precision award. Julia Chmielowiec was the Elite Award and eighth overall for "Bye Bye Blackbird".
In the Junior Rising Star solos category, Alexa Gutt won the Elite Award and second overall for "IF My Friends Could See Me Now" and "CLean and Classic" special award. Mackenzie Baker won the Elite Award and fifth overall for "Where They From". Leah Reinstein was high gold and 10th overall for "Dream".
In the Senior Rising Star solo category, Carmella Limon won the Elite Award and seventh overall for "Daydreaming".
In the Teen Solo Rising star caregory, Maya Sauer won the Elite Award and Third overall for "Color Blind and Jda O"Connell won high gold and ninth overall for "Clockwork".
;In thhe teen future star solo cateogry, Amarlis LOzada won high gold and first overall for "Heatwave" and Jade Hendrickson won high gold and third overall for "Moving Lightly".
In the petite future star duet/trio division, Erin King and Julia Paton won the overall high school and Elite Award and Special Award for "Fabulous Places."
"World to Come" won the third overall senior all-star small group award and "Dangerous Streets won the ninth overall teen all-star small grup and a showcase invitation. Both won Elite Awards.
In Rising Star and Future Star, "Turn the Beat Around" won the Elite Award and first overall junior rising star line. "Night Season won the elite and first overall junior rising star large group.
"Ay Caramba" won the High gold and first overall in the petite future star large group.
"Colors of the Wind", "Land of 1,000 Dances and "Grant Avenue" also won.
