vernon group gives $500 scholarship

The Women of the ELCA ladies group presented Andrew Wiik with a $500 scholarship toward his college education on Sunday, July 16, at the 8:30 a.m. Outdoor Chapel service, at Holy Counselor Lutheran Church in Vernon. Wiik will attend University of New Haven in New Haven, Conn., in the fall and will be studying Cyber Systems as his major. WELCA meets the third Tuesday of the month at Holy Counselor Lutheran Church.
