Summer reading continues at county libraries

It’s not too late to register for the Build A Better World Summer Reading program at your local Sussex County Library. Through Aug. 12, kids, teens, tweens and adults can continue to earn raffle tickets for every book read or listened to and enter to win over 180 prizes — a minimum of 30 winners at each branch.
Reading rewards are just the beginning. Space is still available to register for several summer programs including:
LEGO Game Club at Franklin Branch every Thursday, Aug. 3-24, 3-4 p.m. Created for kids entering second grade and up, LEGO Games test players’ imagination and building skill. Led by Hardyston Elementary Teacher Holly Romahn.
After Dinner Art at Dennis Branch every Monday, Aug. 7-28, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Kids entering kindergarten and older are invited to Dennis Branch to work on a different art project each week.
Monday Fun Days — Game On! at Main Library every Monday, 2-4 p.m. It’s game time and socializing for adults. Scrabble, card games, Rummikub and more; the library supplies the board games.
Earth Day Puppet Show at Louise Childs Branch is Aug. 10, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Miss Tina and her puppet friends present a show about nature, conservancy and recycling. Fun characters and interactive games teach important lessons about sustainability. This program is appropriate for children entering kindergarten through second grade.
