Chamber seeks Sussex County Idol applicants

    NEWTON — The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce is looking for talented singers, kindergarten through 12th grade, to audition for the 2017 Sussex County Idol Contest.
    Finalists will appear at the 3rd Annual Sussex County Day at Champion of the Grill on Sunday, Sept. 17, 12 to 5 p.m., at the Sussex County Fairgrounds.
    To qualify, entrants must be Sussex County residents and submit a DVD or YouTube link by Sept. 1 to be considered. Finalists will be notified by Sept. 8.
    Entries (entry form and sample song) may be submitted in person to the Sussex County Chamber office at 120 Hampton House Road (Route 206 inside the Chase Bank building), mailed to: S.C Idol Contest c/o Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, 120 Hampton House Road, Newton, NJ 07860, or emailed to mail@sussexcountychamber.org. Entry fee is $20.
    Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners.
